Aerospace

The Aerospace Division designs and integrates avionics suites, flight controls and other innovative concepts for regional and business aircraft customers. The Montreal site is the worldwide centre-of-excellence for flight control technology for the entire Thales Group and currently employs 150 people. 10% of our revenues are reinvested in R&D.

 

Land and Joint/ Naval

Located in Ottawa, the Land & Joint/Naval Division is one of Canada's leading Command, Control, and Communications (C3) systems integration companies. Its main business areas are mission systems and sensors, communications, and C4ISR systems. Areas of expertise include integration of radar, electro-optic, navigation and C3systems, design and development of real-time software (Ada, C, C++,Windows); and full-service Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).

 

Rail Signalling Solutions

With offices in Toronto and Vancouver and employing 900 people, Rail Signalling Solutions, a business line of the Security Systems and Services division, focuses on advanced technologies to run metros, light rapid transit and automated people movers. In the early 1980s, the business unit pioneered Communications-Based Train Control providing driver-less capability and, with its proven solutions, is the world leader offering this highly demanded technology to operators around the world. The urban rail market is high growth due to urban population growth and environmental concerns.
