Thales has been present in Argentina for 30 years now, mainly in air traffic control, naval and air force activities. In 1999, the company broke into the IT services market through a subsidiary which now employs 280 people. In 2007, our position in Argentina was reinforced by the transfer of Alcatel's activities in the fields of security, transportation and space.

Since 1973 and the supplying of a radar for Ezeiza Airport, Thales has been a major player in Air Traffic Control and a trusted partner for the Argentine Air Force (AAF) whose current projects related to airspace military surveillance should mobilize Thales' teams in the medium term.
Thales is also very active in the area of transportation developing rail signalization solutions for both urban and interurban lines.
Taking advantage of the transfer of Alcatel activities, Thales plays a increasing role in the national space landscape, developing payloads for telecommunications satellites.
