The primary markets served in South Africa are in the areas of hi-tech defence electronics systems for both naval and land forces applications. Though its subsidiary Thales ATM, Thales has a commanding market share of the air traffic management domain together with capability in avionics and other allied fields. Global Telematics is involved in the vehicle tracking market where it specialises in Fleet Management systems for organisations running large fleets of vehicles.
