"I was recruited as a systems engineer through the Thales website. My job is to make sure that we meet the needs of our customers. When I first visited the Thales website I was impressed by the variety of technologies that Thales are involved in. The best thing about being here is that the people are fantastic - really friendly and always willing to help. After work, I play sport with my colleagues - on Wednesday evenings we go to badminton classes and because we only work a half-day on Fridays, we play squash in the afternoon."
"I work for Thales Training and Simulation. Staff training at Thales is very important, I came in as a graduate systems engineer and was trained up on new software at Thales University. I am also part of the Graduate Development Programme - it's highly structured and geared towards getting your Chartership, which is very important for an engineer. From day one I was given a mentor, and everyone has been very supportive. The people at Thales are great and the products I work on are really interesting."
"I am a design engineer in Microwave and I hope to one day become a senior microwave designer. Thales gives me access to the kind of high-level technical work I always wanted to do. It's really exciting and rewarding to work here - especially when you see the first prototype of the product you're working on."
