Thales Austria combines its Austrian roots (k&k Südbahngesellschaft) with international pedigree (via STT, ITT, Alcatel, and Thales). Thales Austria now employs 269 people which secure, together with suppliers, over 500 qualified jobs.

Thales is well represented in Belgium with five specialised business units in the sectors of Defence, Security, Aerospace and Telecoms. These business units employ nearly 1000 people in a wide variety of professions, ranging from engineers and technicians to admin staff, production operators, finance and sales people.

Thales currently employs over 35,000 people in France, at over 70 main locations, divided into seven regions (Ile de France, Centre, Pays de Loire, Bretagne, Sud-Ouest, PACA, and Rhônes-Alpes).

With its 5000 employees, Thales is one of the most important hi-tech electronics companies in Germany in the air and space travel, security and defence markets. Our head office is located in Stuttgart, with further production sites and branch offices in over 20 locations throughout Germany.

Thales Greece was formed in 2000 and currently employs 85 people. It employs a huge range of technology and engineering skills to develop and produce hi-tech electronic equipment and subsystems, including specialized real-time embedded software, and provide programme management, technical support and maintenance.

Thales in Poland was set up in 2007, based on the former Transport Automation and Telecommunications Engineering Ltd. in Poznan. The company currently employs 130 people (123 in Poznan, 7 in Warszawa).
